China Floods June/July 2007
Continual heavy rain since start of June 2007 affected Huaihe River, southern Yangzi River and south western part of China, and even the north western part of China. There be flash floods, landslides and mudflows.
Worst affect areas are Chongqing (Municipality), Anhui and Jiangsu Provinces. Other areas include Anhui, Chongqing, Hubei, Hunan, Henan, Inner, Jiangsu, Guangdong, Guangxi, Guizhou, Mongolia, Qinghai, Shandong, Sichuan, Yunnan.
712 people die and 163 went missing.
Government statistics say the heavy rains and floods in the southern part of China have affected over 5,400,0000 people at 19 July.
Emergency relief include rice, quilts, sheets and mosquito nets and repair to houses, schools, health facilities, water and irrigation systems.
