Content Criteria

Insuropedia is intended to be: -

  • Useful – content may include insurance information, interpretations, statistics, policy definitions, case studies, generic claim examples, etc which you may have found to be of use.
  • Relevant – content may include subjects relevant to all classes of insurance and its application.
  • Current – content may cover current insurance issues relating to world or local events e.g. tsunami, earthquake, flood, storm, global warming, severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) etc.
  • Practical – content may include practical methods of resolving insurance issues, e.g. products, schedules, worksheets and other information which you as a Policyholder, Insurer or Intermediary have found to be of benefit.
  • Topical – content may table insurance problems without providing a solution. Once a problem is tabled others may contribute a solution.
  • Constructive – a place where balanced and considered views on insurance matters can be expressed.
  • Verifiable – references should be cited for events and insurance policies used.

Insuropedia is not intended to be: -

  • A kangaroo court – it is not the place to for you to conduct a trial and be the judge and jury offering the verdict. It is not the place for you to vent your insurance grievances.
  • A persecutor – content which victimises any specific individual or business entity are inappropriate and are not in the interests of constructive resolution of insurance issues. Slanderous or libellous comments are unacceptable.
  • An insurance directory – it is not a place to list insurance entities, policies, risks, etc, which are not relevant to advance the views or issue which is being explored. It is not a collection of links.
  • A photo album – it is not a collection of photographs of insured damage. Photographs must be relevant to the views being expressed. Uploading of documents is restricted.  If you have a photograph or document which you would like to upload please send it to us at admin@insuropedia.com and, if approved, the administrators will upload it for you.
  • A storage medium – it is not a place for uploading of files that are not integral to the views being expressed.
  • A place of business – it is not a place to conduct business.
