About Insuropedia

Insuropedia is about insurance issues and solutions.

Its administrators are Joe Willis and Susan Kelly, based in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Combined they have been involved in the insurance industry for over 30 years. During this time they have had considerable exposure to property and financial insurance products and their interpretation & application to risk and claims. Joe and Susan have seen many insurance issues generated from a multitude of insurance situations. They have been active participants in finding solutions for these problems. The insurance industry is complex and sometimes slow to change. Many of the issues they were involved in decades ago remain today and are resolved on a case by case basis. Accessible resources available to document these issues and their solutions are limited.

Insuropedia was born to fill this gap; to provide a practical resource relevant to all participants in insurance ranging from the Policyholder to the Insurer.

It is a repository for insurance problems, issues, debates, interpretation as well as solutions, responses and considered & balanced views.
